Dr. Perlman offers group therapy to address common difficulties such as depression and anxiety. She meets with interested individuals to evaluate their current symptoms and help them decide which group is best suited for their needs. Groups generally meet weekly for 8-12 sessions. Cognitive Behavioral techniques for managing symptoms are taught and group members have a chance to support one another and learn about and practice strategies that have been useful for other members. Often times, group therapy is a valuable adjunct to individual treatment.
